01 / Descriptions
Enrich descriptions
A standardized technical description for every part — component type, key electrical parameters, package, and manufacturer — in the same row order you submitted.

Give chip.parts a list of part numbers or a BOM spreadsheet. It hands back a standardized technical description, distributor pricing and stock, a matching datasheet, and a moisture sensitivity rating for every part — organized as rows your sourcing, engineering, and production teams can review.
Four checks
Run any or all of these against the same MPN list. Each check is self-contained, and together they turn bare BOM rows into sourcing and production context.
01 / Descriptions
A standardized technical description for every part — component type, key electrical parameters, package, and manufacturer — in the same row order you submitted.
Learn more →02 / Prices
Current pricing and stock levels across distributor sources, checked in a single batch instead of one part at a time.
Learn more →03 / Datasheets
The manufacturer datasheet PDF for each part number, checked against the part before it's returned, ready to download one at a time or as a batch.
Learn more →04 / MSL
Moisture sensitivity level ratings under IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020, with a source link for each rating so it's checkable, not just asserted.
Learn more →How it works
Every workflow follows the same flow, whether you're pulling one field or all four.
Paste your MPNs, or upload a BOM spreadsheet as it came out of your design tool — no reformatting required.
chip.parts checks technical and distributor data for each part number, matching manufacturer, package, and part variant where available.
Matches get pulled into one consistent record per part — a description, a price and stock line, a datasheet link, an MSL rating — instead of a pile of raw listings for you to sort through.
Every result is saved, so a repeat lookup for a part you've already searched comes back instantly instead of searching again. Results export to Excel in your original row order, new or cached.
Why repeat lookups are fast
Caching isn't just a speed trick — it means chip.parts gets more useful for your BOMs the more you use it.
Every part chip.parts resolves adds to your workspace, so the parts you reuse across projects need less and less outside searching over time.
A downloaded PDF stays available in your workspace even if a manufacturer later pulls it from their own site.
Processed files stay downloadable after the fact — hand a result to a colleague, or re-check it later, without rerunning the lookup.
